HISTORY
“A key defensive post during the War of 1812 and the Rebellion of 1837-38, Fort Malden commemorates a period when the destiny of Canada was determined by military action.

For 200 years, fortifications at Fort Malden have witnessed and participated in the struggles which helped forge a new nation out of the North American wilderness. An army garrison, British Indian Department post, dockyard for the Upper Great Lakes and the meeting place for Chief Tecumseh and British General Brock – the fort has been all these. ” ~ Parks Canada site.

WEATHER
At this time of year you can never truly predict what will happen. We go with the flow. Unless of course the sky is flowing before you even leave the house. It can be chilly, on the riverfront even on the warmest days.

Here is a link to a good weather site that gives long range, hourly, and even 15 min updates on the weather conditions.
