Returning to Petite Côte Conservation Area.

Monday April 7th 10 A.M. until ?

I spent some time this week finding us new areas to paint.  As the snow melts mud becomes a problem.  A lot of our favorite areas are under water right now.    We will be returning to this small gem of a park one more time.  Then it will be off to other areas that I’ve lined up.

Alternate Rain Location!
If it rains, we will head to the nature center at Ojibway Park for a day of indoor sketching.  These two locations are fairly close together.

Important Information about this location:

There are no washroom’s available at this location.  Just north of this location there is a Tim Horton’s, in nearby LaSalle.

As you can see by Nancy Bauer’s photo below, There are no handrails on this board walk.  This maybe an issue with people who are not steady on their feet.  However, It is wide enough for two people to walk down.  If you are setting up on the boardwalk you should ensure that people can easily pass you.

Directions: Here is a link to my customized Google  map to this location:  https://tinyurl.com/Petite-Cote-Map

NOTE:  Google does not have this park marked, so you will not be able to find it without using my map.

The view of the sign that marks this conservation area maybe blocked.  So take is slow.  The parking area is also a local mail pick up location.  If you reach the intersection for Malden Road (there is a traffic light) you’ve passed the area and will need to turn back.  Below is a photo of what the entrance to the park looks like in summer.
