Information for our Artists
SUNDAY August 10, 2014. Artist Set up starts at 8:30 a.m.
The Homestead has invited the Windsor & Essex County Plein Air Society painters to paint and sell their work at the Lost Arts/Blueberry Social. Participating artists please identify yourself at the gift shop upon arrival.
This is a great opportunity to show your work.
This event is always very well attended. While we are able to sell, we are also part of the entertainment, therefore we ask that you do paint or sketch while you are there.
Instructions for artists:
We will not be the only vendors there this time around.
Go early the choice spots are first come first served!
Bring a table, or stands to display for your work.
The shade is minimal. You may bring a pop up shelter. If your shelter has stakes, please let the homestead workers know so they can identify where their utilities are located.
The homestead will have staff on site by 9am. Artists may drive their cars up on the lawn to unload. Cars must then be moved to the overflow parking lot before the event begins. If you are unable to walk from the over flow parking I will be happy to move your car for you.
The public hours are NOON to 4pm, but people always arrive early. Bring your regular painting set up, plus a drop cloth, in case of rain we might be able to paint/sketch indoors. (Unconfirmed)
There will be a light lunch served. But, you might want to bring something along with you as there are no stores or restaurants nearby.
