Monday November 17th Paint out Ojibway

Monday Ojibway Park 10 A.M. until ?

Be aware that the construction may cause detours on Matchette Rd.  So you may have to go around construction to get to the park.  I’ve not been out there to see what the situation is of late.

Painting at Ojibway always means no matter the weather we can run for cover in the Nature Centre.  You can also sketch indoors if there are no tours.  There are some restrictions, because there might be tours going though the exhibit area, there must be no “trip hazards.” Therefore, no easels or equipment on the floor. You can bring in a chair to sit on.  We suggest that you treat this as a sketching opportunity rather than a full fledged painting event. Bring sketchbooks, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, and anything that you can safely confine to your lap.  They do have a sitting area that looks out at bird feeders, a pond, and the woods.

Of course, if you wish to work outside you may bring all your gear. The washrooms are available.

You might wish to give a small donation to the park as a thank you for their allowing us to sketch inside.  They have a donation box on the counter in the display room.

I’m open to suggestions for other rain friendly locations where there is painting potential. Keep in mind that we can not schedule private property.

We are looking forward to seeing you Monday.
