Monday December 21st Paint out Ojibway

Monday Ojibway Park 10 A.M. until ?

There is light rain in the forecast for Monday.  It may or may not happen.  So we will be staying close to the city.  Ojibway offers a place to run for cover year round.

Painting at Ojibway always means no matter the weather we can run for cover in the Nature Centre.  You can also sketch indoors if there are no tours.  There are some restrictions, because there might be tours going though the exhibit area, avoid “trip hazards.” Therefore, no easels or equipment on the floor.  We suggest that you treat this as a sketching opportunity than a full-fledged painting event. Bring sketchbooks, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, and anything that you can safely confine to your lap.  They do have a sitting area that looks out at bird feeders, a pond, and the woods.

Of course, if you wish to work outside you may bring all your gear. The washrooms are available.

If you do sketch inside, you might wish to give a small donation to the park as a thank you.  There is a donation box on the counter in the display room.  This is not necessary.

I’m open to suggestions for other rain friendly locations where there is painting potential. Keep in mind that we can not schedule private property.

We are looking forward to seeing you Monday.
