There’s rain in the forecast.  I’ve scheduled Ojibway, because I know we can run for shelter, and have access to washrooms.  We can also sketch inside.  There are lovely floor to ceiling windows with outside bird feeders, and wildlife displays indoors.

Here is a link to Google Map for directions:

(Tailor this list to suit your needs.)

For your personal comfort:
Protect your eyes, and sunscreen is a must now.  Bring bug spray, there maybe ticks in the area.  How to prvent ticks here:

For the sake of art:
folding chair
Plein Air easel
Drawing board
Paint and drawing supplies of your choice

Your drawing supplies can be as little as a pencil, pad and sharpener or as elaborate as a full french easel box of oils and canvases. If you are just starting out, we suggest starting small.

If we are able to sketch indoors there are some restrictions. There can be no “trip hazards.” Therefore, no easels or equipment on the floor. You can bring in a chair to sit on. They do have a sitting area that looks out at bird feeders, a pond, and the woods.

If you are painting inside the Nature Centre, we suggest that you treat this as a sketching opportunity rather than a full fledged painting event. Bring sketchbooks, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, and anything that you can safely confine to your lap.

Of course, if you wish to work outside you may bring all your gear. The washrooms are available.

We are looking forward to seeing you Monday.
