The Festivals begin!

Kingsville’s Communities in Bloom

Sunday, May 1st  10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Lakeside Park

Vera Graham paints at Lakeside Park

We are invited to participate in this joyous free celebration of the Year of the Garden organized by Kingsville’s Communities in Bloom Committee.  The main event will be at the Pavillion at Lakeside Park and it would be best if you can set up to paint near the building.  There will be guided tours of the park, so please don’t block the pathways.  Be prepared to interact with the community.

Covid?  While masks are optional, you may wish to wear one as there will be quite a few attendees.

There are many upcoming festivals this summer. Participating in the festivals is a lot of fun. While your attendance is not mandatory being there is a service we provide to the community. It gives the event another added attraction. It is also great exposure for our group and your art career. If you can attend, the community and we thank you.

When we have a weekend festival paint-out we do not have a Monday paint-out. This is to encourage attendance at the festival.

We hope you will join us on Sunday, May 1st for our first Festival in 2 years!  WOW!  Bring your business cards. I will send out a jpg image for our show so you may print postcards. Please make sure any papers are weighted down so that the wind does not blow them away and create litter.  I would hate for someone to pick up litter with our name on it.

You may bring a few paintings to lay at your feet to show passers-by. Please keep your footprint small (no big tables.) Try to stay out of the gardens and off of the pathways so that pedestrians may easily pass.

Rain Again – No paint-out Monday April 25th

Spring is very unpredictable, and although it is suggested we move our Monday paint-out to another day, we will not change the event. Cancellations are frustrating, but rescheduling the day of our paint-out will not guarantee better weather.
