Paint Out Malden Park
EAST side Malden Road entrance
This is the side where the ponds are located.
Monday November 6th
Suggested time is: 9:30 – 10 am until ?
Sunday night we are due for a deluge, but it should clear for Monday morning. Dress warmly, the weather is changing.
There are many picnic tables and benches available.
The Malden Park Visitor Centre has washrooms, but I’m not sure if they are open yet. However, Tim Hortons is one block away on Huron Church.

THINGS TO CONSIDER and WHAT TO BRING
The weather is unpredictable, so you may need earmuffs, gloves, hat with a brim so the sun does not hurt your view. This time of year I use a baseball type cap. Dress in layers.
Your drawing supplies can be as little as a pencil, pad and sharpener or as elaborate as a full french easel box of oils and canvases. If you are just starting out, we suggest starting small.

Saturday & Sunday Sept. 30, Oct. 1.
Navy Yard Park Paint Out
Doors Open Event
Time: 10:00 – 4:00
We’ve been asked to participate in this event by the Doors Open committee. The park is located across the street from the Ice Cream Parlour.
Link to Map of the Kings Navy Yard Park: https://goo.gl/maps/zffb3ZiL41E2 (actually a map to the ice cream parlour.) We will be across the street.
You might wonder why we volunteer in these events.
- We paint in these parks free all year round. This is an opportunity to give back to the community.
- It is an honour to be asked to participate, it shows we are a respected and recognized group.
- It gives us, as artists, an opportunity to educate the public about our art form.
- It’s an opportunity to network with the public. Hand out those business cards!
- We can inform the public of upcoming group and personal shows.
When we do weekend events such as this we don’t go out on the following Monday. The reasons for this is that we need you to participate on the weekend if at all possible. Even if it’s only for a few hours.
Please let me know if you are going so that I can look for you. You may also phone my cell on the day should you have trouble locating us. My cell is 519-564-4361
See you this Saturday and/or Sunday!
