Cancelled due to rain – Sketch/Paint Out Monday February 19th at Malden Park.

The Windsor & Essex County Plein Air Artists invites the public to join us at our free weekly sketch/paint outs.

Location:
Malden Park,
4200 Malden Road
Windsor, On
Date:  Monday February 19th
Suggested time is: 9:30 am – 12 pm

Here is another opportunity to paint and sketch in the great outdoors. The hours are flexible, feel free to come and go as you please.

There are many picnic tables and benches available.  Tim Horton’s has washrooms, and is one block away on Huron Church.

This 175-acre park features the highest hill in Essex County. Naturalized biking and cycling trails wind up and down the hills and through paved and wood chipped trails.

THINGS TO CONSIDER and WHAT TO BRING

Bring a sack and water.

The weather is changing, DRESS FOR WINTER!
Ear muffs
Neck scarf
Wind breaker coat/jacket/pants
Warm socks/shoes/boots
Gloves
COFFEE or tea!

Art supplies – Your art supplies: pencil, pad and sharpener or a full french easel box of oils and canvases. If you are just starting out, we suggest starting small.

Paint/Sketch out Nov 27th Lakeside Park, Kingsville Ontario

At this time if year I tend to post our location at the last minuet because I’m watching the weather. It changes so quickly and I want us to get the best of the day. SO, Monday did look like a miserable day, but NOW it shows it will be sunny! YAY! I’m going to choose Kingsville Lakeside park.

Start time about 10 am – end time at your discretion.

Kingsville’s Lakeside Park is one of the jewels of the county. This is one paint out that will surely inspire.

If you go, please keep an eye on the weather.

Plein Air easel
Plein air pochade box
Drawing board

Paint and drawing supplies of your choice

Dressing for the cold:
You will want to bundle up. Wind proof clothing, hats, gloves. There’s no bad weather only bad clothing.

Your drawing supplies can be as little as a pencil & pad or as elaborate as a full french easel oils and canvases. If you are just starting out, we suggest starting small.

Suggested time is: 9:30 – 10 am  until ?
Sunday night we are due for a deluge, but it should clear for Monday morning.  Dress warmly, the weather is changing.

The Malden Park Visitor Centre has washrooms, but I’m not sure if they are open yet.  However, Tim Hortons is one block away on Huron Church.

The weather is unpredictable, so you may need earmuffs, gloves, hat with a brim so the sun does not hurt your view.  This time of year I use a baseball type cap. Dress in layers.

Your drawing supplies can be as little as a pencil, pad and sharpener or as elaborate as a full french easel box of oils and canvases. If you are just starting out, we suggest starting small.
