Paint Out Monday Ojibway Park April 30

Start time:  between 9:30 & 10:00

Here is a link to Google Map for directions: http://goo.gl/maps/aGRHM

Painting at Ojibway always means no matter what the weather is we can run for cover in the Nature Centre.  You can also sketch indoors if there are no tours.  There are some restrictions,  there must be no “trip hazards.” Therefore, no easels or equipment on the floor. You can bring in a chair to sit on.  We suggest that you treat this as a sketching opportunity and not a full-fledged painting event. Bring sketchbooks, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, and anything that you can safely confine to your lap.  They do have a sitting area that looks out at bird feeders, a pond, and the woods.

or outside

Of course, if you wish to work outside you may bring all your gear. The washrooms are available.  Painting outside at Ojibway is always so exciting.  You will most likely see deer.  I’ve had a chickadee come visit me and sit on my easel.  Some people bring bird seed, and feed them out of their hand.  It does not get better than that.  If you paint in the woods you will usually be sheltered from the wind.

Note on cell phone messaging: Text message will go through to a cell phone, where Facebook Messenger may not. If you are communicating use text not everyone has a data plan.
If you have a cell phone you may want to exchange phone numbers with each other. Many times when we are at Ojibway it’s hard to find other artists because the park is big. We all don’t arrive at the same time. Having a cell phone to locate each other is a good idea.   Email Elizabeth for her cell number at paintpleinair @ gmail dot com

We look forward to seeing you Monday.

For your personal comfort:

Your drawing supplies can be as little as a pencil, pad and sharpener or as elaborate as a full french easel box of oils and canvases. If you are just starting out, we suggest starting small.
